National Consultation on REDD



The National Consultation on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) in Developing Countries: Exploring Forest Carbon Revenues for Philippine Forest-Based Communities was held on April 28-29, 2009 at the Imperial Palace Suites, Timog Avenue, Quezon City. Fifty-seven (57) national and international NGOs, indigenous peoples and community-based organizations, DENR and other national designated agencies, and funding agencies were present to learn and better understand REDD, to share the experiences of various existing REDD projects implemented in Indonesia, Cambodia and Philippines; and discussed the potentials and challenges of REDD implementation in the Philippines.
