PROJECT: “Capacity Building on Enhancing Resilience to Forest Fire, and Local Livelihood and Market Linkages” implemented under the Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSME) component of NTFP-EP Asia with field level activities in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam (CLMV) and all of ASEAN for select regional trainings and publication work in partnership with international organizations.

Reports to: Project Coordinator, CLMV Project

Job Location:  NTFP-EP Asia office (Quezon City, Philippines)

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Graduate of any of the following disciplines: Economics, Business Management, Community Development and Sociology, or any relevant course;
  2. Must have at least five years experience in implementing rural development projects focusing on livelihood and enterprise development;
  3. Proficient in making Project Feasibility Studies;
  4. Proficient in facilitating meetings and trainings;
  5. Fluent in written and spoken English;
  6. Must have excellent report writing skills;
  7. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications;
  8. Able to multi-task and consistently work in a team environment.

JOB SUMMARY

The employee is a member of the Sustainable Climate Adaptive Community Livelihoods (SCAL) Thematic Programme of NTFP-EP and as such contributes through his/her project responsibility to the achievement of the target outcomes of the CLMV Project and the SCAL thematic programme.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the Project Activities in the CLMV project sites are effectively implemented according to the approved plan and budget.
  • Assist the NTFP-EP- CLMV Project Coordinator to identify, establish, and provide mentoring assistance and project management advice to target community partners/leaders in the establishment of viable and sustainable Community Livelihood and Enterprises in coordination with NTFP Project Partners in selected areas in CLMV.

This is full-time work with a maximum six-month probation. Salary range is from Php 35,000 to 45,000 gross per month with basic benefits coverage and commensurate to qualifications. The project will run for three years.
