This informational 2014 calendar has been produced collaboratively by the Working Group on ICCAs in Indonesia (AMAN, Sawit Watch, Huma, JKPP, KIARA, Forest People’s Programme, NTFP-EP and WALHI, WWF Indonesia).
Support in Indigenous & community conserved areas (ICCAs) is growing globally. The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) recognizes the role of forest communities in conserving customary forests, lands, seas, lakes, and rivers. In Indonesia, ICCAs are advancing progressively as the role of Badan Registrasi Wilayah Adat (BRWA) has become crucial to the registration of all areas and indigenous lands that have been documented and mapped.
