COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE (Part-time)
NTFP-EP Asia is hiring a project-based COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE who will provide key backstopping and creative / communication support to staff, thematic programs and network partners especially the ICCA Consortium Southeast Asia. The Communications Associate is expected to contribute towards the attainment of the Vision, Mission, and Goals of NTFP-EP and that of the ICCA Consortium in Southeast Asia.
Contract service of Php 25,000 gross per month will be provided, commensurate to qualifications. Duty station is at NTFP-EP Asia Quezon City, Philippines office with occasional travels in the region.
Duration: March 2025 – February 2026
The position is available to Philippine-based applicants only. NTFP-EP operates on a compressed work week from Mondays to Thursdays.

The Communications Associate will be responsible for the following:
On ICCA Consortium in Southeast Asia (SEA):
On behalf of NTFP-EP Asia, will be part of the ICCA Consortium SEA Regional Coordination Team, and shall work with the Regional Coordinator and Advocacy Coordinator and members’ communication counterparts to:
- Develop and produce creative outputs of visual elements of ICCA Consortium SEA’s online campaigns, activities among others;
- Contribute to advocacy and thematic works of ICCA Consortium and members;
- Prepare Snapshots, ICCA Consortium SEA’s monthly newsletter, highlighting the progress and accomplishments of the consortium and its members
- Create ICCA Consortium SEA social media presence
- Assist in the revamping of ICCA Consortium SEA’s logo and other communication materials
- Prepare engaging content (write-ups, photo-essays, videos or any communication output) on the three thematic works of ICCA Consortium SEA;
- Attend and participate in necessary webinars, meetings and workshops
- Perform other tasks deemed necessary to achieve the communications objective of the ICCA Consortium and its partners and stakeholders in the network
On CKM support to NTFP-EP Asia and thematic programs:
- Prepares monthly engaging content related to NTFP-EP, maximizing the HIVE e-learning platform of NTFP-EP Asia through the curation of various contents, in coordination with the Communications and Knowledge Management Officer (CKMO)
- Co-develop and co-produce, with CKMO, creative visual content for NTFP-EP’s online campaigns, including (but not limited to) webinars and other digital initiatives
- Collaborates with the CKMO to create engaging social media content across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Prepare engaging monthly content, including (but not limited to) photo essays, videos, and other communication materials, focusing on gender, women’s rights, and ecological justice.
- Provides support to the CKMO in designing visually appealing graphics using tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop, prioritizing materials for ICCA Consortium Southeast Asia (SEA) where necessary.
Perform other tasks and backstop other regional work and partnerships related to his/her job designation and correspond to his/her capacity, as may be assigned by the Communications and Knowledge Management Officer and other members of the coordination team.
NTFP-EP Asia is an association of 30 members with over 100 partner non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations working with forest-based communities to strengthen their capacity in the sustainable management of natural resources in Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
