
The 6th ICCA Consortium Southeast Asia Regional Assembly in 2025 marked a significant milestone—ten years since the first regional learning event held in Lombok in 2015. Representatives from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam gathered to share national updates on efforts to document, sustain, and defend their territories of life, while also deepening their understanding of key themes shaping the Consortium’s work in the region.
Observers from South, East, and North Asia also joined, contributing to meaningful learning exchanges and strengthening inter-regional solidarity. The week-long assembly was co-organized by the youth-led Regional Coordinating Team and the Working Group ICCAs Indonesia (WGII), with support from NTFP-EP Asia, the host organization for the regional coordination hub.
