The NTFP-EP Declaration for Peoples and Forests
Responding to worsening global crises and the uptick in diverse solutions being provided by to the international community by governments, civil society, and the private sectors, NTFP-EP has released the Declaration for Peoples and Forests as a show of solidarity and affirmation within the network and with our partner Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities across South and Southeast Asia.
The declaration was collaboratively initiated and written by members, staff, and partners of NTFP-EP during the BERSAMA 2023 Annual Regional Network Meeting last October 2023 at Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with additional inputs added online in the following weeks.
Now in its 25th year, NTFP-EP remains firm in upholding rights, health, and livelihoods: for peoples and forests.
