Through documentation, research, and popular education, NTFP-EP partners continue to strive towards NTFP development in Vietnam in thematic areas of conservation and policy advocacy. One of NTFP-EP’s partners in Vietnam, the Southern Institute of Ecology (SIE), which recently established itself as an organization, has a wide range of documentation of NTFP species and their corresponding use to indigenous communities.
SIE and its partners were able to forward the inclusion of several nature reserves like the Kien Luong under the country’s new system of protected areas and promote the continued sustainable use of resources in Nui Chua National Park and Ta-kou Nature Reserve.
In its pursuit of pushing for effective partnerships, the construction of the Vietnam eco-cultural museum is underway through the collaboration with local authorities and BothENDS.
